Photo-Synthesis > Strike??!!!???!!!
Taken with 10-20 fisheye lens, color selectively layered in photoshop. I love how the wide angle tells a story!
April, 2000
Photo-Synthesis > The carnival came to town! This was set-up day. Photo taken with my new 10-20mm fisheye lens.....April, 2008
Photo-Synthesis > "He hatched!"
I've wanted to do this digital arrangement for a long time- composed of dried rosebuds, dove eggshells found on the ground, and dried baby's breath, layered with a salt resist watercolor painting in photoshop. April, 2000.
Photo-Synthesis > Dreamy June Bug Jewels...
June bugs, apart from being so buzzy and intrusive at times, are like beautiful iridescent jewels to me. A young friend found this dead june bug on the ground,
and gave it to me. What a gift! I photographed it from several angles, and then collaged the images in photoshop with layers of a digitally scanned watercolor salt resist painting. (created July 20, 2007)
Photo-Synthesis > Illuminated St. Nick
A collection of wooden St. Nicholas/Father Christmas/Santa Claus mini murals encircle the pine trees at the local park. At night, the trees are lit, and the Santas are illuminated by spotlight. The star at the top of the tree is another local Holiday feature, shining brightly from it's mountain vantage. The Christmas light stars in the sky are clone tooled in photoshop from the tree lights. Happy Holidays!!
Photo-Synthesis > "Wildly Flying By"
This is a combination of several images: One of the full moon, another of a sundog with a glowing edges photoshop filter, and finally a scanned image of dry pressed leaves from my garden. Stars were added later in photoshop as pixel dots and a photoshop flare.
Photo-Synthesis > This is a white wing dove in a sycamore tree. It was shot with my Nikon Coolpix digital point-and-shoot through a pair of binoculars, and then a "solarize" filter was added in Adobe Photoshop.
Photo-Synthesis > This is a melding of two images. The baby white wing dove was placed in the flower image, and then a dry paintbrush filter was added in Photoshop.
Photo-Synthesis > The circular pattern of lines are star trails, camera oriented to the northern sky, exposed for about 7 minutes. The flare was added in photoshop.
