Mercury retrograde, shot through a telescope, November, 2006. The large orange ball is the Sun. The larger dot in the far right is a sunspot. The smaller pinpoint dot is Mercury. Though I took this picture, the credit must go to the talented astronomers of the Huachuca Astronomy Club, who set their telescopes and equipment up and trained them on Mercury during a public star party this day. I just walked up, and shot through the viewfinder. (with my little Nikon Coolpix 2100)
